Filipe Lou­ren­ço pro­poses to explore Ahidous dance, which is a tra­di­tion­al Ber­ber dance, com­bin­ing move­ment and music­al­ity to grasp its artist­ic essence. Par­ti­cipants will learn spe­cif­ic ges­tures and rhythms, then they will integ­rate this to Lou­ren­ço’s con­tem­por­ary cho­reo­graph­ic research. This dia­logue between tra­di­tion and mod­ern­ity will open new cre­at­ive hori­zons, com­bin­ing rhythm, dance and singing to invent a new cho­reo­graph­ic form.
