Place à demain!

Week-end classes and intensives

Using a set of cards: Danse tout terrain – Comment les lieux nous font danser, this two half-day workshop in public spaces will help us understand how each space/place can offer imaginary, physical, and sensory resources to our dancing bodies. In situ dance posits that each site invested generates its own sensitive body, which can then produce a state of dance specific to the place: whether this state is somatic (with a large place left to feelings) or performative (in the context of a choreographic piece, for example). Each participant will thus be invited to deploy their own desires, skills, and resources – even if these are far removed from dance – in order to experiment with their place in a given site and, by extension, to express their “place in the world” through situated gestures.
