What if the Bayeux Tapestry was turned into a thrill­ing show worthy of the best stream­ing platforms?
With her fam­ous nar­rat­ive skills and her off-beat per­spect­ive, Gaëlle Bourges pro­poses a juicy seri­al nar­rat­ive of the con­quest of Eng­land by Wil­li­am the Con­quer­or (Guil­laume le Con­quérant in French). Like the tapestry, the scene unfolds in an oppos­i­tion between France and Eng­land, with key moments that can be read as a nev­er-closed case, an ongo­ing his­tory. Spec­tat­ors can see many places, char­ac­ters and exper­i­ence cliff­hangers and dra­mat­ic moments only through the dance of two bod­ies, props, a nar­rat­ive and a song.
